CSI East Coast Episode II
by Roger Grubbs

Something sinister is going on in a small college town near Montgomery, Alabama. What begins as a series of routine pranks turns out to be much more, and before long the FBI is called upon to solve the mystery.

In a strange turn of events, something tragic happens! A total of sixteen young women go missing in a single night. To complicate matters further, the local officials are instructed to keep a lid on these disappearances. They explain the situation as a simple college prank at the all girls' school, but when a body is found with no plausible cause of death, suddenly the stakes are much higher. How did an innocent panty raid turn into murder?

Choosing to turn the lead over to a new unit called CSI East Coast;, the FBI takes a low profile in the investigation. Samantha Powers, an up-and-coming CSI agent, known by her friends as Sam is puzzled by this approach. She is now charged with the task of solving the crime; the only problem: nobody is willing to admit a crime has even occurred. Her partner Jonathan West, a well-known novelist, is her only aid.

The CSI East Coast team has barely worked together for a total of two weeks during which time they solved one of the greatest murder mysteries of the city of New York. Now they are expected to do it again. Join us in this thriller as we embark on a new endeavor: CSI East Coast Episode II.

A woman standing upon the railing of a bridge, ready to jump. Or so it appears. While trying to talk her down from the railing, the first doubts cross Jason's mind. And when the woman tumbles into the icy waters below and he follows her, he sets off a chain of events which he could not have foreseen. Samantha O'Connell does not remember why she was found standing on the bridge railing-and even more worrisome-how she got there in the first place. Was it a suicide attempt or something much more sinister? Determined to help her find the answer to that question, Jason soon learns how one simple question can lead to many more; and how one secret, at the center of it all, can be deadly. In order to protect Samantha, he must break all the rules. Kidnapping her from a mental institution and hiding her away is only the beginning. A reluctant family's secrets must be uncovered, and one of them is willing to kill to keep them buried.

The Last American Martyr
by
Tom Winton

DescriptionTom Soles was an unemployed doorman when he wrote a book that rocked the nation. Entitled Enough is Enough it revealed the truth about who was really at fault for the unfair spread of wealth in America. Working folks adored it; the upper echelon hated it. Either way it was viewed, it became a best seller and won him the Nobel Prize for Literature.

When we first meet Tom, he is using an assumed name and all the local townsfolk consider him a hermit. But after a visit from his mail carrier, Jake Snow, we begin to learn more about the man that Jake also had written off as a recluse. Jake has plenty of time and questions, and as he begins to get answers, the two men quickly strike up a close friendship. Then Tom gives Jake an opportunity. He offers to let him read a memoir he's been working on. Jake accepts, and we begin a story within a story.

What happened between writing that blockbuster book and Tom ending up as a hermit? Jake and the reader are both in for quite a ride! Part mystery, part romance, part drama--The Last American Martyr has it all.
