The Dracula Deception
by Jake Devlin

Madness, Mayhem & One Crazy Vampire

Adapted and updated from the hit 1974 stage comedy of the same title. (The print version includes photos from one of the original productions.)

The setting: The Transylvania Institute for the Terminally Insane (TITI; pronounced "Tie-Tie"), where patients are not treated to be cured, but are allowed to live out their delusions in relative comfort in a supportive environment.

The plot: A down-on-his-luck actor's audition for a role to support one particularly peculiar patient plunges him into a nightmarish maelstrom of madness and mayhem.

The characters: A manic mix of patients and staff catapults the roller-coaster plot to its shocking, heart-stopping finale.

The Lush Life
by
Peggy A. Edelheit

DescriptionMy name is Samantha. I’m a novelist who seems to fall into unusual mysteries and ends up becoming part of and writing about them. It has made me semi-famous for stirring up and getting into trouble. After selling their art gallery to someone else, Clay’s friends, Alicia and Chris Worth, decided to take their trip to Europe, but for a month to collect some personal art. Clay promised them I’d housesit their house, while he took on another case. Great...now I was dealing with real live fictional people that kept showing up at their front door! I've always dreamed of the lush life, but this...?

Mason's life had been great, his family was loving and supportive. He had the dream career, but being in the spotlight was not his idea of the perfect life, practically a recluse, fate decided now was his time.

When Mason Stone meets Summer Clarke, it's fate, but can Mason win the heart of the only woman he's ever met who makes him feel alive, will Summer let him? Or is she too broken to know the signs? Can fate really bring you to the one you were always supposed to love.

Black Adagio
by
Wendy Potocki

DescriptionMelissa Solange is presented the chance of a lifetime. Chosen as a member of a new dance company, she works tirelessly perfecting the one element of ballet she's never mastered—the adagio. As she rehearses, a dark force watches. Resurrected by the surprise addition of a classic ballet to the repertoire, the sinister work is thought to be cursed—destroying anyone who attempts to dance it. When the production's lead dancers begin to disappear, the old warning is taken more seriously. A death worshipping cult called The Innocents is blamed, but she is not so sure. They may be the scapegoat for an ultimate evil living in the woods of Holybrook. Desperate for an answer, she searches for what lurks in the shadows of the old trees before she becomes the next victim of the Danse Macabre.

The Monk Who Cast A Spell
by
Sharon Bradshaw

DescriptionDurstan, a 17 year old 8th century Monk at the Monastery on Iona, falls in love with Ailan; becomes involved with Beth when he thinks he has lost her, and is injured then in a Viking raid. He doubts his Christian belief because of the magic of the old Gods whom people still worship in 794AD; the violence of the Vikings and the sexual awakening he experiences with Ailan at Beltane. The Abbot, Druid, Monks and Durstan’s family are important to the story, as is the magic in the firelight, wildness of nature and seasons on Iona and Mull in the Hebrides, warmth of spring in April/May and snow at Yule, the blizzards and white sky.
