Down To Zero: Every end has a beginning
by Medeas Wray

Where crime thriller meets the paranormal. Down To Zero is a mystery murder and police procedural set in a near-future London of 2018 - a hard-boiled urban noir novel with a paranormal twist in the tale.

For seasoned detectives, Mallory Vine and Bob Dario, employed by a shadowy government department, the day to day is generally murder. That's normal for them. That they can handle. But when they encounter a serial-killer with some exceptionally out of the ordinary attributes, the case starts to take a different turn, away from anything that's routine for them as investigators and into another world - the world of the supernatural.

As they look closer at the case, they uncover the work of a psychologist turned parapsychologist located in Paris in 1895 and find similarities between one of his patients, the man only known as Blank and their particular serial-killer, the dandyesque, dangerously attractive and deadly Philip De Witte.

As the case continues, they start to build up evidence, real evidence of the paranormal at work and come to a drastic conclusion. Could be a stake out's required. Or something a little more audacious. And with that decision comes the opportunity to change the investigative culture world-wide forever.

Down To Zero: a hard-boiled, lit noir crime thriller that takes the reader into the world of the paranormal in a way you'll truly believe.

For if they die, it could mean the end of freedom.

Will Mike survive the confrontations in order to see out the mission? Or will he cut loose and run from the responsibility that has been placed upon him? Why should he care for the people of the world when they have never cared for him?

Why indeed...?
