Bounty Hunter
by Roger Grubbs

On a cold wintry night in a small community just outside Omaha, Nebraska, a notorious killer enters the home of a family of five. Less than ten minutes later Ed "The Bull" Malone leaves behind a building in flames with no survivors. Having eluded the law for seven long years, this cold-blooded killer brings additional heat when he murders an off-duty cop who tries to save the victims from the burning inferno.

Within hours a nationwide manhunt is underway, and at the helm of the search is none other than Deputy Director JP Long of the U.S. Marshals Service. Months later and with no success in locating Malone, the deputy director is advised to seek the help of an infamous bounty hunter named Chris "The Duke" Blaylock.

Swallowing his pride and getting on a plane, he makes a trip to Dallas, Texas where he finds this person to be not only a professor of criminology, but a female. Upon entering the classroom of this skillful, well-respected teacher, he soon learns he has misjudged her; but convincing The Duke to come from retirement is an uphill battle. Yet, without the expertise of this notable person, it will likely be impossible to locate Malone and bring him to justice.

With no other option, Deputy Director Long must persuade The Duke to return to her former line of work for he desperately needs the help of the beautiful and infamous Bounty Hunter.

Night Side of Dark
by
Caleb Pirtle III

DescriptionAmerican operative Ambrose Lincoln has no idea where he is or has been or where he's going. He believes he has been to the night side of dark, a place of the first death, from which no one can return. So why does he find himself on the bomb-ruined landscape of Poland, or has he been exiled to the second death? Lincoln only realizes, if the man in the shadows has not lied to him, that he must find an ancient religious painting that has been missing for centuries. The German Gestapo will pay a fortune to buy it, or take a man's life to get it. The painting, if legend holds true, is the German hierarchy's final and only chance to escape the onslaught of the war that is crumbling around their feet.

The Last Rose Pearl
by
Grace Walton

DescriptionThe year is 1812 and Britain is at war with America.

In London, Dylan St. John is the most handsome rake in the Regency’s tight-knit aristocratic circles. Deemed Heartless St. John, he’s also the American heir of the Duke of MacAllister. Everyone in society knows these two facts. No one knows he also works as a spy for the new American Commissioner of Peace. He’s the darling of Mayfair and the prime catch of the Marriage Mart. He swears he’ll never be caught in parson’s mouse trap.

In Savannah, Rory Windsor vows never to marry, as well. A Christian, she’s busy running an orphanage for children of mixed heritage. She wears britches, rides astride, and manages her family’s shipping business. No stranger to tragedy, she makes a black mourning bead for each person she loses. She wears them as a necklace. Miss Windsor has far too many black rose pearls. She’s considered a beautiful bluestocking and a pesky social reformer.
