DEGENERATE FLOOSIES…DASTARDLY GERMAN SPIES…DIRTY OLD MEN…SOPWITH CAMELS…AND A VIRGINAL HERO AND HEROINE WHO ARE ENGLAND’S ONLY HOPE….

1918. England faces defeat. Germany looks set to triumph. Only one man and one woman can save England.

Wriggles is the Royal Flying Corps’ greatest ace. Can he prevent a dastardly German spy ring from getting top-secret information out of France? Is he completely out of his depth in a world of devilish scoundrels, and flouncing, unashamed, near-naked scarlet women?

Britt, his childhood sweetheart, is working as a nurse at a hospital near Paris. Forever pining for the lost innocence of her childhood, she too has problems. Adrift in a world of dirty old men and dissolute hussies, she is fast approaching mental breakdown. She finds purpose in life as a slayer of German spies. Convinced as she is that German male spies have snakes growing out from between their legs, they are quite easy to identify. Another obsession of hers is to discover what Wriggles has between his legs...

As well as twists and turns of plot, exciting aerial combats, and a host of characters, from the suave, bollocks-obsessed Major Mullen to sexy, black-haired, pouting Marianne casting amorous eyes over our virginal hero, there unfolds (in the story of Britt and Wriggles) one of the greatest love-stories ever told. Will it end happily, or will Wriggles end up with a bullet through his head, and Britt strait-jacketed in a mental institution?

This is a novel of sexual and martial comedy, with no-holds-barred excitement and thrills, and more. It explores two flawed individuals who, heartbreakingly unable to come to terms with an adult world, begin to draw closer and closer together and discover feelings hitherto unknown to them. It is a sympathetic portrayal of two children trapped in adult bodies, and how one of them, Britt, tries to dig her way out of her schizophrenic nightmare with a courage and determination which deserves to succeed…

Will Britt manage to save herself..? And will Britt and Wriggles save England..? Will they find true love? Or does death and madness await them in a world dominated by Germany and its depraved supporters?

Bunny on a Bike: Playboy croupiers in 80s London
by
Bev Spicer

DescriptionA Bev and Carol adventure Book 2

"A great insight into 80s London, attitudes to women and life as a trainee bunny, plus smatterings of celebrities, this book captures that careless sense of youthful immortality perfectly. A fab light-but-intelligent read." Amazon reviewer

"To say I liked this book would be an understatement, I absolutely loved it!" Amazon reviewer

"A wonderfully uplifting book that brightens even the dullest of days. The author has a way with words that delights the reader, and leaves her feeling better about the world in general." Amazon reviewer

Carol and Bev have no idea about what they want to do for a living. They see a newspaper advertisement for Playboy croupiers and, with a typical lack of forethought, decide to apply. After parading in bikinis and completing two gruelling maths tests (with a certain amount of cheating), they get the job. They do four weeks training at Victor Lownes' mansion in Tring, where there is free-flowing champagne and a well-stocked jukebox. They are commandeered to be photographed with Victor on his return from hospital, and are invited to attend one of his weekend parties, where they meet celebrities but are not terribly impressed.

Bev and Carol encounter unscrupulous landlords and exact a savage revenge. They deal blackjack to all kinds of punters, fend off lecherous pit bosses and almost fall in love. They get into all kinds of trouble and come out unscathed.

Bunny on a Bike gives the reader an amusing insight into life inside the casino and being young in 80s London. Along the way, Bev and Carol make us laugh with their very different attitudes to life. One thing is sure - they will be friends forever.

Bunny on a Bike is a memoir. It is anecdotal, unfolding chronologically, and told in the first person. Its tone is ironic, and its protagonists offer us an uplifting and humorous account of the process of becoming a Playboy croupier.

If you like frivolity and fun, if you like a dry kind of humour, if you like to laugh, you will love Bunny on a Bike.

There are three Bev and Carol adventures, which are all stand-alone books. For those who would like to know the order, here it is: 'One Summer in France', 'Bunny on a Bike' and 'Stranded in the Seychelles'.

The Midnight House
by
Alex Berenson

DescriptionEarly one morning, a former CIA agent is shot to death in the street. That night, an army vet is gunned down in his doorway. The next day, John Wells gets a phone call. Come to Langley. Now.

The two victims were part of an eleven-member interrogation team that operated out of a secret base in Poland called the Midnight House. For two years, they put the screws to the toughest jihadis, men thought to have knowledge of imminent threats. The interrogators used whatever means necessary. When they were disbanded in the wake of public controversy, they were given medals for their heroism, Prozac for their nightmares. Now Wells must find out who is killing them. Islamic terrorists are the likeliest explanation, and Wells is uniquely qualified to go undercover after them. But the trail of blood he discovers will lead him and his boss, Ellis Shafer, to a place they wouldn't have imagined-and leave Wells facing the hardest of questions about the men of the Midnight House.

Berenson's work has been called "superior entertainment" (The Washington Post), "heart- stopping adventure" (USA Today), and "a superb yarn reflecting the myriad dangers confronting our country today" (The Providence Journal). He is one of the world's best new thriller writers-and he is just getting started.
